How do I add modules to the second tab?

***BUG***
if you edit prefs for other modules after moving some modules to a different tab, then the changes you made previously don't persist.

I figured that out how to add modules to the second tab.

There is a small issue with Google not savin the settings when I tell it to. Give it a few seconds, 20 or 30, and it should save by then. I'm trying to find a way to ensure they are saved, or some way to tell you when they are saved.

Click setup on the beside that tabs and an icon will show up on your other modules. Click it and selete from that list. Hope this helps.

This is an awesome module that really helps me keep my homepage organized and less cluttered. The only thing I would like to see added to it would be the ability to have modules existing in multiple tabs. e.g. one tab could have all modules, and the remaining tabs would have overlapping subsets of those modules. Basically it would involve adding a set of tags to each module to dicate which tabs it would appear in.

Matthew = I have found that saving the settings works a bit smoother if after you save them, you get them.

Matt, there appears to be quite a lag in switching between tabs. Don't know if there's a way to deal with this, but it does impact on the usability and ease of use of the module.

Thanks for the feedback. I am going to be writing up a help page on how to use the module. But most of it is pretty self explanitory. I have been thinking about adding a tab that is either visible all the time or just in setup mode that will show all the modules. Trying to allow the modules to exist on multiple user created tabs would be very complicated, and would require a completely new system for assigning modules to tabs. I have gotten requests to put the tabs on the very top of the page. Don't how that would look, but it could be an option. Also, I'm going to move the color settings into the setup mode with a popup window to select a color. I am sure the majority of people using this aren't developers and wont know HEX. Heck, I barely know HEX. I am also going to look into a way of forcing the save or at east telling you when the save is complete.

Hmm... I just retried it. It is a different module that is messing up the tabs. googlemodules.com/module/184/ Under Misc for Top reduction I chose Remove spaces. It was handy as it saved me some space. Turns out it also hid the tabs. Is there a way for that option to still work now?

I am going to be working on all my modules in the next week or so. I am going to try to remove the space as much as possible in this one. The purpose of this module is to save space, and that is what I am going to make it do.

I updated the code somewhat. Google emailed me asking me to not save the settings as much. I made it save only once when you are editing something, instead of every 20 seconds like it used to. I have not had any problems with it, but let me know if you do.

Hello all. I was notified this morning that my hosting company had been hacked. They were in the process of restoring service when they were attacked again. They are working on the problem and service should be restored this afternoon sometime. I am looking into trying to get the modules back up, but moving my site from one server to another will take a few hours for the changes to propogate through DNS. Sorry for the outage

I have secured another host for the time being. Everything is setup. You should be seing the module returning in the next few hours. The new domain name settings need to propogate through DNS before it will work. I updated them ~5 hours ago, so most should have service back.

Great, great module but......

Even with just two modules installed (this tabbed module and the google developer.xml module) when I click the little icon in the corner of a module to move it I get a javascript error. "Syntax error" line 1 char 6. It doesn't seem to prevent the module functioning but I though you should be aware of it!

Необходимо сделать сайт. Форумы, чаты и тому подобное не нужно. Хочу получить качественную вёрстку, именно качественную, а то в дримвивере и сама могу. Дизайн готов, а остальное за вами.

Очень хотелось бы услышать пару дельных советов о том, какой код выбрать, где лучше регить домен и так далее...
