Hi, your Google X is cool! But, I'm japanese, so my Google is not google.com but google.co.jp.  I'd like to see Google News in Japanese, to start Google Local in Japan, etc...  Google has 17 personalized home all over the world including Japan, UK, French and Italy (See www.googlemodules.com/module/340/). ... I want to change the url of the links as your Google Custom Links did.

Isn't Google Local and Google Maps the same thing?

yes, they are, but I simply copied Google X from google and made a module to replace the header with it.  I have been thinking about making a more advanced one of these modules that would allow people to customize the order of the links as well as customize the services.  There are dozens Google offers, and they wouldn't be too hard to add to this module.  Check back in a week or so.
